February 10th-15th Devotional

Day 1: The Power of God's Covenant
Reading: Genesis 15:1-21, Hebrews 8:6-13

Devotional:
God's covenant with Abraham demonstrates His faithfulness and grace. Just as God put Abraham into a deep sleep and made the covenant Himself, He has established a new covenant through Jesus Christ that doesn't depend on our perfection. Reflect on how God's covenant love covers your shortcomings. How does knowing that God's promises are based on His faithfulness, not your performance, change your approach to faith? Today, rest in the assurance of God's unbreakable covenant and ask Him to write His laws on your heart.

Day 2: Faith That Moves Mountains
Reading: Matthew 17:14-20, Hebrews 11:1-6

Devotional:
Jesus taught that faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains. This isn't about the size of our faith, but the object of our faith - God Himself. The sermon Sunday emphasized the importance of growing our faith beyond just believing. How can you nurture your faith today? Consider areas where you've been relying on your own strength instead of God's power. Ask the Holy Spirit to increase your faith and help you step out in obedience, even in small ways. Remember, it's not about having great faith, but faith in a great God.

Day 3: The Transforming Power of the Holy Spirit
Reading: John 14:15-26, Acts 1:4-8

Devotional:
The presence of the Holy Spirit in believers is a down payment of our inheritance in Christ. He writes God's laws on our hearts and minds, transforming us from the inside out. Reflect on how the Holy Spirit has been working in your life. Are there areas where you've been resisting His guidance? Take time to invite the Holy Spirit to fill you afresh, empowering you to live out your faith boldly. Ask Him to make the truths of God's Word come alive in your heart today.

Day 4: Overcoming Religion with Relationship
Reading: Mark 7:1-13, Galatians 5:1-6

Devotional:
The sermon on Sunday warns against allowing religion to replace a true move of God's Spirit. It's easy to fall into patterns of empty ritual or performance-based faith. How might you be approaching your relationship with God from a religious mindset rather than a relational one? Today, focus on simply being in God's presence. Set aside your to-do list and spend time worshipping, listening, and enjoying fellowship with your Heavenly Father. Ask Him to reveal any religious attitudes that may be hindering your intimacy with Him.

Day 5: Living in the Power of Christ's Blood
Reading: Hebrews 9:11-28, 1 John 1:5-2:2
Devotional:
The new covenant is sealed with the precious blood of Jesus, providing complete forgiveness and cleansing from sin. Unlike the repeated sacrifices of the old covenant, Christ's sacrifice was once for all. Meditate on the power of Jesus' blood to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Are you fully embracing this freedom, or are you still carrying guilt and shame? Take time to confess any sins you've been holding onto, receive God's forgiveness, and thank Him for the cleansing power of Christ's blood. Live today in the confidence that you are fully accepted and loved by God because of Jesus' sacrifice.
